To preserve the
nature experience and protect our wildlife and river, the following are not
allowed on any Canoe Escape:
- No
dogs (we love 'em but so do the 'gators!)
- No
radios (listen to nature's symphony)
- No
waterguns, frisbees, et cetera
- No
swimming
- No
styrofoam
- No
glass
- No
chainsaws
- No
firearms
- All
children younger than six and non-swimmers must wear life jackets.
- Please
bring back all trash.
- Last
pick up is 5:00 p.m.!
Since our paddling trips go through protected preserve areas,
regulations prohibit:
- picking of flowers
- injuring, capturing or feeding of wildlife (alligators are a protected
species in Florida. It is against state law to feed or molest them)
- destruction or removal of plants, rocks, driftwood, or any other
objects.
County
ordinances also prohibit the consumption of alcohol in the parks.
Fishing is permitted however a valid Florida freshwater fishing license is
required. You may obtain one over the telephone by calling
1-888-FISH-FLORIDA.
